In December 2023, we had the pleasure of signing an online Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Van Lang University, our esteemed partner. This was soon followed by our inaugural meeting this January 2024, marking the beginning of an exciting collaboration. Our collective goal is the successful launch of the "Get Ready to Work 2024" program with Van Lang University (VLU). We anticipate that the program's success could pave the way for its expansion to other universities in Ho Chi Minh City.
VLU holds a significant position as the highest revenue-earning university in Vietnam. Moreover, many affluent universities in Ho Chi Minh City are striving to enhance their international rankings, necessitating the accrual of outbound points from abroad. With its proximity to Vietnam, Cambodia presents a convenient opportunity for these universities. We foresee that if VLU initiates the program with us, other private universities in Ho Chi Minh City are likely to follow.
The Van Lang University Honors Program requires students to have an IELTS score of 5.5. Alternatively, Van Lang University's internal English test may be made available for Kirirom Institute of Technology (KIT Cambodia) students. The academic year, which commences in September, is divided into three semesters. We offer short program modules exclusively for KIT students, with a minimum group requirement of 8 to 12 students. Open programs for partner universities are currently not available.
We are excited about the potential opportunities this partnership could offer our Software Engineering students at KIT Cambodia, such as the possibility to join modules with the University of Technology Sydney (UTS).
